Poppers Holding B.V. in Lelystad has started a new business unit in Turkey as of 1 July 2007, Poppers Senco Turkey Ltd, established in Istanbul. Mr Ömer Hakan Taskesen is the Business Unit Manager of this new company. With a company in Turkey, Poppers is not only expanding her activities in Europe, but also making her first steps in the fast-growing economy of Turkey. Activities will start in the more European oriented areas of Istanbul and Izmir. The new company will at first focus on production of fastening systems which are marketed under the Senco brand name. Poppers already has companies in the Netherlands, Germany, England, Ireland and Belgium. Poppers has been a major player in the market for industrial fastening systems for over 90 years. Poppers Senco in the Netherlands, England and Ireland primarily focus on the sale and maintenance of nail, staple and screw systems and the sale of fastening systems. Poppers Technofast sells ceiling, roof and façade systems. In part through company take-overs, Poppers has seen a strong growth and product expansion in recent years. Poppers Wallebroek sells furniture and construction fittings, and Poppers Zimit specializes in the sale of metal products. The latest addition to the Poppers Group, TyTecker, introduces a revolutionairy rebar tying system that offers great ergonomical advantages.
